The Pool at Lei Aloha, like most pools in Hawaii, is heated by the warm, tropical sun. The water temperature will vary with the weather conditions. Water temperature in the winter will usually be in the mid-70s, and in the summer, the low to mid-80s. Your perspective as to whether the pool is warm enough may depend on your frame of reference. We find that guests coming from very cold climates find the pool enjoyable, even in the winter months. However, if you are coming from a warm climate, you may find the winter water temperatures in the pool to be a little daunting! Those who have enjoyed this property generally agree that on a warm day, the pool feels refreshing, whatever the temperature!

"Just wanted to say Thank You for sharing your beautiful home with us on the greatest vacation Kathy and I have probably ever had. We weren't expecting such a well furnished and beautiful home and pool. We truly had a great time playing golf, going to the many beaches, and sometimes just lounging around the pool and reading. We did it all and in style. I would highly recommend your home to anyone adventuring to Kauai. Thanks so much."

"Just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our vacation, and how great your beautiful home is! We had everything we needed, the house was immaculate, the furnishings, the linens and towels, the layout was just perfect for our needs. We will definitely recommend your home to our friends, and hope it's not to long till we return!"

One master suite and two guest bedrooms are on the first level, all opening onto the courtyard and the pool through French doors. An additional bedroom is located on the second level, and features a deck that overlooks the pool to the distant Bali Hai view (don’t miss the sunset!).

The fourth bedroom (upstairs) has two twin beds, as well as a desk to facilitate working from your vacation home, if you insist! All bedrooms have cable television. This property has Brazilian cherry wood floors throughout this light, airy home, designed for easy living. A separate laundry room with washer and dryer is available for your convenience. The two-car garage on an automatic opener makes handling groceries and luggage a snap!

The master bedroom suite in a private wing of the home is furnished with a king-size Tommy Bahama bed. This suite is complete with a spacious bath with double sinks, a Jacuzzi tub and separate marble shower. This suite also features 26” LCD flat-panel television and DVD. A gracious desk overlooking the pool is the perfect spot to address postcards or set up your laptop computer. An additional king suite features tropical intrigue and romantic drama with the graceful draping of mosquito netting around a bamboo bed. The queen suite with private marble bath features a walk-in shower.

You will enjoy the outdoor spaces as much as the indoor spaces! Enjoy your morning coffee on the lanai, or on the lawn, under a palm tree next to the pool. Or fire up the gas barbecue on the patio overlooking the Makai golf course for that fresh mahi-mahi you picked up from the local fish market! An outdoor dining table graces the patio, making it difficult not to relax! The grounds of this property are enclosed by a stucco wall, providing privacy for sunning and swimming, and giving guests the feeling of being in their own compound. Professional landscape artists have insured that the fruit and foliage of the tropics will delight you. There is almost always a ripe papaya on one of the papaya trees, and fresh lemons and limes are often available for cooking or cocktails! In addition to the tropical plants mentioned above, the fragrances of mock orange, pua kenikeni, jasmine and pikake at various times of the year will confirm that you are in paradise!

"WOW! WHAT A PLACE!! My wife and I, and our four kids, had a terrific time at Lei Aloha. Perfect, even. We really didn't know what to expect, didn't have any expectations, and we were completely overwhelmed at the beauty of the house and home. And backyards. And beaches. And the fish market in Hanalei was a great treat, too! The bedrooms were wonderfully spacious, the living area and kitchen fully accommodating (better than home, even!), and hanging out on the lanai while bar-b-queing with a cold beverage was as relaxing as we could ask for. TVs in every bedroom was terrific with the kids! The pool was refreshing and blue and clean all the time (the pool guy stopped by twice during our stay). A perfect "10" across the board! Thank you for the perfect vacation!"  Tony and Dyan , Sebastopol CA

"What a wonderful house and location. We can not thank Jan enough for her hospitality and house. My wife and I stayed here (Lei Aloha) for 6 days with her family before getting married in Kaua'i, then 3 days alone by ourselves. The house is beautifully designed, very open for entertaining or plenty of space to just get away. The private pool was also great, the perfect place to just look at the stars and listen to the crickets. Thank you Jan, you helped make our wedding very special. Hope to stay here again next year for our first anniversary."
